Media didactics

Project-internal support for didactics and OER (open educational resources)

The Media Didactics team supports the BOOST and SKILLS measures in the digit@L project in two areas:

E-Learning
  • The team advises project participants on didactic design, offers training and consultations on ILIAS regarding didactic and technical use, and supports media production in creating educational videos.
Publication competence in teaching
  • The team provides training, consultation, and support on publication and copyright for project participants to ensure the legal use of their own and others' teaching materials both inside and outside the teaching context.

The trainings are offered in-person, via Webex, and upon direct request.

Criteria Catalog for Designing ILIAS Courses

The criteria catalog was developed during the project and serves as a helpful tool for all participants in the digit@L project for developing high-quality ILIAS courses. Here are some of its main benefits:

The criteria catalog acts as a guide to help teachers create an effective ILIAS course. It provides clear guidelines and best practices to ensure the course meets didactic objectives

The criteria catalog allows teachers to assess the quality of their existing ILIAS courses. The course check offers valuable feedback on what areas are well implemented and what aspects could be optimized.

The criteria catalog promotes standardization and consistency in course design. By setting clear standards, it enables teachers to develop high-quality courses that meet student expectations.

Regular application of the criteria catalog allows teachers to continuously improve their course design. Feedback from the course check helps identify weaknesses and take targeted improvement measures.

Publication Competence in the digit@L Project

The team actively supports project participants in handling copyrights, licenses, publication, and dissemination of open educational resources (OER).

  • We advise on planning and execution of OER projects and on publishing in the OER repository of the state of Baden-Württemberg (ZOERR).
  • This enables the achievement of project goals regarding the open publication of teaching/learning materials.
  • We offer courses and self-learning materials developed during the project and refer to third-party offers.
  • We assist in finding reusable materials (sustainability).
  • We help make materials created in the project visible and findable, thereby strengthening the teaching reputation of the project participants.
The specific course offering includes topics such as:
  • Copyright and Creative Commons - (not only) for OER or Open Access
  • Technical and communicative criteria for openness (Openness)
  • Finding, modifying, and redistributing openly licensed teaching/learning materials

The OER support proves to be a successful cooperation between tik, zlw, and the University Library in the framework of the digit@L project.
