Technology-based experiential worlds

Courses with VR and AR

Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) - or mixed reality (MR) and extended reality (XR) - are terms that are becoming increasingly important in our everyday lives. In teaching too! We help you to better understand these different realities.

We have developed course content and materials to give interested parties from all disciplines an introduction to these exciting topics. The focus is on providing practical experience with the hardware and an in-depth understanding of what is actually behind these terms, what the technology can do and what applications there are for it.

In our programme, we therefore provide the necessary hardware (AR and VR glasses as well as powerful laptops) and invite participants to experience this technology for themselves and even take their first steps in developing their very own AR and VR applications.

Our teaching content has already been trialled as part of a lecture, a block seminar and an interdisciplinary key qualification (FÜSQ) for students as well as a further training seminar for lecturers. The programme has been very well received by participants and the content has been continuously improved based on feedback from the events.
