Media library

A collection of learning and teaching videos

Welcome to our media centre: Here, high-quality educational videos bring academic content to life and promote a deeper understanding of complex concepts through visual representations. Our videos enable flexible learning at your own pace.

The media library contains different types of videos: interdisciplinary explanatory videos, video series, laboratory tutorials and digital literacy tutorials.

The videos in the media centre fulfil several criteria:

  • They are of high didactic quality, as they were evaluated several times during the creation process by students, lecturers and the media didactics team (the media production process with feedback loops can be found here).
  • The technical content of the videos has been created and checked by lecturers at the University of Stuttgart.
  • The videos highlight fundamental concepts and terms and can therefore be used by many people across all degree programmes.
  • They are produced to a high quality so that they can be used for several years within and outside the university.
  • All videos are Open Educational Resources (OER), licenced under CC-BY 4.0, and can therefore be used, distributed and modified by anyone, provided the creators are credited. All videos are downloadable.

At the university of Stuttgart the videos in the media library are used as a a supplement to face-to-face lectures, tutorials, practicals and other face-to-face study programs.

Call for action

We would be happy if you, as a member of the university, contribute a teaching and learning video and enrich the diversity of our media library!

The project "digit@L - Digital Teaching and Learning at the University of Stuttgart: Boost. Skills. Support." is funded by the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre.
