Institute for Complex Quantum Systems

Joachim Ankerhold is a director of the Institute for Complex Quantum Systems at Ulm University, a co-director of the Centre for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology, and the Vice-President Research of Ulm University. As a theoretical physicists with the focus on condensed matter systems, his research interests cover a variety of topics from fundamental quantum science to close collaborations with experimental groups. In QSENS his research team is exploring many-body quantum physics in novel 2d-materials and their detection with sensors based on NV-centers in diamond within the project QCOMP.
