SuCCESS24 Summer School 2023

The SuCCESS24 Summer School 2023 took place from 26th of June until 5th of July 2023 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Students from University of Ghana, University of Stuttgart, and Addis Ababa University met public sector representatives in the format of stakeholder workshops, and learn about current challenges in the local waste management. In classroom lectures, the students were equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote sustainable waste management practices. Addressing sustainable resource and waste management methods that prioritize the needs of the population while also contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By the end of the summer school, students gained a thorough understanding of circular economy, sustainable resource and waste management, recycling processes, complemented by practical lessons, group work and excursions.
