Our Mission
ReaLiTea (Research Literacy of Teachers) is an Erasmus+ project that seeks to enhance pre-service and in-service teachers' engagement in and with research regarding foreign/second and additional languages. We do this by fostering research literacies, addressing both the attitudes and competences associated with reading, using, carrying out, and sharing research in communities of practice. In doing so, we build sustainable connections between theory and practice in the context of language teachers' professional development and to strengthen language teaching and learning.
Building a virtual Community of Practice (vCoP)
We offer an online space as a hub for a digital ELT teacher community of practice which brings together teachers and researchers.
We hope to see this develop into a space for vibrant international collaboration aiming at the production of classroom-based knowledge.
Teachers have a forum in which to share both their resource-aligned outputs, such as research papers and conference presentations, and texts and products that stem from their core teaching activities, such as assessment rubrics, qualitative and quantitative analyses of student performance, templates, syllabi and more. HumHub offers workspaces which invite a range of activities and participation (e.g. talk, share documents, wiki, plan events). We are building this platform as we go! Please offer your vision, ideas, and suggestions via HumHub.
What do you want to do?
Share your ideas – find inspiration – draw on empirical research!

Turning classroom practice into research: feel free to share questions evolving from your teaching experience and thus provide a springboard for future research. Either become a co-researcher in our project or hand it over to one of our participants.
Joining us will offer your pupils and students a great experience! We cordially invite you to contact us via email. We make sure to tailor our initiative to the needs of your class and schedule!
Optional: If this is of interest, invite us to your classrooms (in person or online): we offer brief roll-ups to the background of our research and get students involved in inquiry-based learning. This is a great occasion to bring action-research to your classrooms!
You are a teacher and interested in contributing to and advancing empirical research? Please contact us via email.
