For School for Talents Alumni and Friends

The School for Talents newsletter informs you several times a year about current developments in our programs and is designed to stay in touch with former participants, cooperation partners, and anyone else who is interested. We share updates about our current participants and alumni, invite you to events planned by us and our network partners.

Your consent is required.

Please provide us with an email address where we can contact you in the future. Your consent and all information provided are voluntary; you will not suffer any disadvantages if you do not consent or revoke your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time without specification of reasons. This does not affect the legality of the processing until your revocation. To revoke your consent, please contact talents@rektorat.uni-stuttgart.de. Unless consent is revoked, it is valid for an unlimited period of time. If the data proves to be invalid at a later date, it will be deleted.

  1. Description of Data Categories

Only the data collected in the consent form that is visible to you. In addition to the data collected in the application form, date and time of your registration are also processed. Regarding the recording of log files, please refer to section 4.1 of the in the University of Stuttgart's data protection declaration

  1.  Purpose of Data Processing

Your consent and all information provided are voluntary; you will not suffer any disadvantages if you do not consent or revoke your consent.

Data is used to to stay in touch with you, inform you about future events, invite you to participate, and contact you directly if necessary, even after you have concluded your participation in our programs.

  1. Legal Basis

Art. 6 subsection 1 letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  1. Recipient

The recipients of personal data collected via the consent form are the employees responsible for the School for Talents programs working at the rector’s office of the University of Stuttgart. Your email address will be disclosed to those technically involved in the sending process (in particular email providers). Otherwise, your data will not be passed on to third parties.

  1.  Duration of Storage

Your data will be deleted as soon as you revoke your consent to receive emails or if an email is permanently undeliverable.

  1.  Your Rights
  • You have the right to obtain information about your data stored by the university and the right to have false data rectified.
  • Furthermore, you have the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing and the right to object processing.
  • You also have the right to data portability with regard to the voluntarily provided data.
  • With regard to voluntarily provided data, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time. The legality of the processing carried out based on your consent is not affected until the revocation.

  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data does not comply with data protection regulations.

The supervisory authority responsible is the commissioner for data protection and freedom of information of Baden-Württemberg (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg).
